So I’m back into fitness mode. For the 4th year running I’ve signed up for the Limerick Sports Partnership’s New Year, New Start Programme. This is an 8 week challenge ran out of the UL Sports Arena. The challenge starts and ends with a fitness test so you can see how you’ve progressed over the 8 weeks.
In the weeks in between there are 3 sessions per week – Track Attack (Circuit Training on the indoor running track) on Mondays and Wednesdays and a special class on a Friday evening.
Friday’s class could be anyone of the other classes available in the UL Sports Arena such as TRX, Boxercise, Kettlebells, Spinning, Insanity, Boot Camp and Total Bottle Body Work (Step Arobics).
The results of my initial fitness (or lack there of) test are as follows:
- Weight: 87.7kg
- Height: 174cm
- Mile Run: 10 minutes 32 seconds
- Sit and Reach: 10/11/11
- Sit ups: 13
- Push ups: 22
So I’ve a lot of work to do over the next few weeks. Lets see how I get on
